This morning we all helped to build a whare out of harakeke flower sticks. Our tamariki enjoyed decorating it with paua shells.

 Today we enjoyed having a special visitor at Gumtree-Tahu Mackenzie from Orokonui Ecosanctuary came to talk to the kids about New Zealand‘s native birds and plants.

We sang some awesome new songs, made seed bombs and hunted for insects in our backyard.

We are all very excited about our upcoming excursion to Orokonui next week.

Thank you so much for the awesome morning Tahu!! The children loved sharing their gained knowledge of Tane-the Maori God of the Forrest and birds, which we have been focusing on over the past few weeks.

Our Nido room (Italian for nest ) is a nurturing and stimulating environment for our very young ones.

Our two infant teachers Geena and Chelsey put a lot of thought and passion into their prepared environment.
