Learned How to Flax Weave, Shared Yummy Star Biscuits and Drunk Delicious Hot Chocolates.

Last Friday we had the pleasure to invite our wider whānau to join us for our Matariki celebration.

Together we enjoyed making poi, sung waiata, learned how to flax weave, shared yummy star biscuits and drunk delicious hot chocolates.
Some roasted bread above our fire, we planted some new shrubs in our garden while others loved playing soccer.
We finished our celebration by listening to one of our Dad's playing the Wonkey Donkey song on his guitar.

Wow, what a beautiful day to celebrate Matariki -the Maori New Year.
What an awesome community we have!! A massive Thank you to everyone who could join us and made this day so memorable!!!
